An Effective Human Resource Management Department - 960 Words

Because it serves as the direct link to all the various operations that make up our company, Human Resources management is vital to our current and future success. For us to prosper and satisfy our customers, Forever 21 must have an effective Human Resource Management department, one that can provide proper knowledge, necessary tools, and effective advice to guide employees and administrators towards successful operation (Heathfield â€Å"What is Human†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ). Since our debut, we’ve been continuously profitable. However, our downside is that we have been primarily focusing on targeting the customer, when we need to apply a different approach: we need to empower our employees and their passion for the job. Investing in our employees’ motivation will not only allow us to grow in sales, but also as an overall company. Our most important goal would be to build our workers’ intrinsic motivation. In doing so, we would increase their desire to perform an action or behave in a certain way because they enjoy the job or activity itself (Williams â€Å"Intrinsic Motivation†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ). According to GlassDoor, a website in which former or current employees of an organization review the job, Forever 21 holds a lot of negative reviews of the working conditions and especially the upper management which, in some cases, was the cause of people’s departure from the company.
